Shading On Tumblr My shading technique is simple, the secret to making it look appealing relies on using more than one shade (one darker than the other) to give your drawing more depth, a sense of tridimensionality as the darker spots are where the light doesn’t reach. Never shade on a normal layer at all unless you absolutely must. most art programs have fancy layer modes specifically designed for using one color of light on multiple colors of surface and properly tinting things with math.
