Shade On Toyhouse I like to shade with a purple or blue tone (sometimes other colors), on a layer above the normal color layer at a low opacity, and then if i'm feeling fancy i add an orange or pink line on where the shaded part touches normal color to make it fade in a little more. I pick one dark color usually dark purple or drak red. i add where i'm shading with a solid brush (not with an air brush.) and then i blur the edges slightly and lower the opacity. I'm kind of stuck when it comes to shading, so all my pieces end up feeling a little unfinished. it always feels too light, but when i try to shade more, it ends up looking like wayyy too much, especially in comparison to my lineart.
