I really wanted it to be done so my friend's boyfriend decided he's gonna do it. i bought the septum, catheter and disinfection liquid. when he tried at first, he couldn't get through it because it was too slow, so he tried again. this time, it went through smoothly. but, the catheter went the wrong way and it looked really crooked.

Everyone's body won't react the same to piercings. my roommate would bleed for all of his but they eventually healed fine. i've had my septum pierced twice over 10 years apart both without clamps. i can't tell if it's in the exact right spot, but if the pain has lessened it doesn't look bad. Septum piercings can close up pretty quickly even after having it for a long time, so you could keep it if you’re hesitant and make a decision later and still get it redone.
