I highly recommend the seestar for those wanting to get deep space images for a reasonable price. i don't recommend it for planetary use, it just doesn't have the magnification aperature needed for that. Only had the chance to play with mine a couple times, also being visual before buying the s50. those couple times i've sat watching the image appear and like paul only ran short durations since i was just testing it out at the time. If you are looking to get started with astrophotography but don’t want to spend a lot of money, the seestar s50 is perfect for you. the components are all high quality, and you can get crowd pleasing images quickly right out of the box.
