School Outreach Robofest Robofest, hosted by lawrence technological university in southfield, mi, is a festival of competitions and events with autonomous robots encouraging students to have fun while learning steam and computer science principles. These workshops have been organized as part of the lead up to robofest, sri lanka’s flagship robotics competition for schools and universities. targeting students from grade 6 and above, the workshops are designed to spark curiosity and a passion for innovation.

School Outreach Robofest Teams can be formed by any organization, school, home schools, clubs or civic group. everyone is recognized: all registered participants receive personalized medals and certificates. winners from qualifying and world championship events receive trophies. Robofest will host a series of meetings to announce and review the 2026 general competition rules highlights and category rules. the meeting presentations and recordings will be available for coaches to review and share with teams. Robots must use sensors and be autonomous (no hard wired remotes), which means that learning computer programming is highly emphasized in robofest. it is one of the world's first autonomous robot contests for grade students in which some parameters of the game playing field is unknown. Robofest is lawrence technological university’s international autonomous robotics program for students in grades 4 through 12. student teams design, construct, and program their robots to act independently and compete for trophies and ltu scholarship in a variety of competitions.
