Sc 170 Widening Thomas Hutton The project consisted of the widening of approximately 5.5 miles of sc hwy 170 from two lanes to four lanes with a median. the project is being completed as a part of the beaufort county splost program. the design included special consideration to protect the existing tree canopy along the roadway. The tennessee department of transportation (tdot) will hold two public hearings this week on the approved environmental assessment and recommended preferred alternative for the proposed widening of edgemoor road, also known as state route 170.
