Safe Human Robot Collaboration In Industrialized Construction
Exploring Human Robot Collaboration In Industrialized Construction By integrating performance analysis, co citation networks, bibliographic coupling, and term co occurrence, this study outlines the intellectual foundation and current research areas at the intersection of construction 5.0 and smart production. This included a review of literature on mobile robots’ current and future applications in construction, past injury reports, research on safety issues of robots in other industries, and research on the safety challenges of other robots (such as drones) in construction.
Exploring Human Robot Collaboration In Industrialized Construction Integrating human–robot collaboration (hrc) into construction sites has significantly enhanced efficiency and quality. however, it also introduces new or intensifies existing risks as it brings in new entities, relationships, and construction activities. A methodology utilizing camera data and computer vision algorithms is proposed to evaluate workflows in an industrialized construction company, with the aim of understanding the motivations and potential implementations of human robot collaboration. Safety oriented human robot collaboration in construction through human preference alignment published in: journal of intelligent construction ( volume: 3 , issue: 3 , september 2025 ). By strategically deploying robotic safety systems and construction safety technology, companies can drastically reduce the exposure of human workers to hazardous conditions, transforming historically dangerous job sites into environments where safety is paramount.
Pdf Human Robot Teams In Industrialized Construction Networks Safety oriented human robot collaboration in construction through human preference alignment published in: journal of intelligent construction ( volume: 3 , issue: 3 , september 2025 ). By strategically deploying robotic safety systems and construction safety technology, companies can drastically reduce the exposure of human workers to hazardous conditions, transforming historically dangerous job sites into environments where safety is paramount. The outcomes of the study provided a detailed understanding of how robots might adversely affect workers' safety and health. the study outcomes could also be ultimately used in creating regulatory and administrative guidelines for the safe operations of small mobile robots in construction. Unfortunately, while safety standards for both collaborative and mobile robots have been published for the manufacturing industry, related safety standards for robotic equipment used on collaborative construction sites have not yet been developed. This special issue will curate cutting edge research on human–robot collaboration in construction and the built environment, spanning design, planning, on site operations, safety, training, and lifecycle asset management. An increasing number of robots are joining construction tasks and collaborating with human workers. this study reviews the major developments in intelligent robots and human–robot collaboration (hrc) in the construction industry.
