Round Square Regent S International School Bangkok Round square schools promote six themes and 12 personal virtues to foster character education and experiential learning. the ideals are internationalism, democracy, environmentalism, adventure, leadership and service, and the discoveries are appreciation of diversity, courage, commitment to sustainability, communication, compassion, inquisitiveness, inventiveness, problem solving, self awareness, sense of responsibility, teamwork and tenacity. Round square schools are characterised by a shared belief in an approach to education built around six themes, the ideals, drawn from the theories of the educationalist kurt hahn.
Rs Ideals And Discoveries Round Square An evaluation of round square's six ideals: internationalism, democracy, environmentalism, adventure, leadership and service. the project explores how these values are understood and valued by students, parents and staff across the network of 160 independent schools. The challenges were centred on the 6 pillars of round square internationalism, democracy, environment, adventure, leadership and service. this rs challenge aimed at developing a range of skills, whilst giving the participants an opportunity to share their ideas on the rs platform. The round square ideals provide a common platform, shared by all schools in our network, around which we can collaborate, swap and share learning resources and participate together in joint activities such as conferences, exchanges and academic projects. The round square ideals challenge is a series of six online activities that invite students to explore and act on the six rs ideals: internationalism, democracy, environmentalism, adventure, leadership and service. each challenge consists of a big question, a curated library of resources, and a final task to complete and share.

The round square community share six learning themes that form the basis of our approach to character education – called the ideals because the first letter of each theme put together spells ideals – internationalism, democracy, environmentalism, adventure, leadership and service. These are all qualities that students in round square schools discover and develop through interacting with six themes shared across our community: internationalism, democracy, environmentalism, adventure, leadership and service, summarised with the acronym ideals.
