In "restorative practices made simple", dr. gaye lang and her invited panel discuss real world examples of how restorative practices has positively impacted students across the state. On this episode of morningline, nick beres welcomes ceo and founder of the raphah institute, travis claybrooks, to talk about the benefits of restorative justice and how it works. Referred participants completed 175 hours of community service, gave 57 apology gratitude letters, and donated 225 and 1 bags items of in kind donations in the communities that were affected. These webinars allow participants to build their understanding of restorative justice responses to crime harm and gain practical tips for advocacy and implementation. In each community conference, trained facilitators guide a respectful discussion about the impact of the offenses. the referred participants are given an opportunity to acknowledge the harm they have caused and repair it by contributing to the community in constructive and positive ways.
