Resilience Gives Since working with a 14 year old non hodgkin’s patient named samaury on our first pair of socks in 2016 to releasing our 121st style in 2021, each design has shared a story of resilience from families experiencing the ebb and flow of their cancer journeys. Being resilient doesn’t mean we will never feel pain, upset, hurt, sadness, fear or anger when we experience difficult times. it means in the moment or over time we can find ways to cope constructively, accept what has happened, adapt and eventually move forward.

Resilience Gives Resilience is an effortful outcome that happens when people adapt themselves to the challenges of the situation they’ve been presented with. and that requires what i call now regulatory flexibility. Resilience helps individuals thrive despite adversity. resilience means knowing when to seek support and use a strong network, rather than handle everything alone. Resilience means being able to recover from challenges and grow stronger through adversity. you can build resilience by developing problem solving skills and strong social connections. Resilience means having the ability to cope with, and rebound from, life’s challenges and still achieve our goals. stress isn’t something to be avoided. we need to feel some stress to achieve our best. exposure to manageable levels of stress and adversity develops our coping skills and resilience.
