Researchers At Uc Santa Barbara S Transport For Energy Applications Lab
Researchers At Uc Santa Barbara S Transport For Energy Applications Lab Transport for energy applications laboratory (tealab) is a research group led by prof. bolin liao at ucsb mechanical engineering. we develop computational and experimental tools to "see" the details of energy transport and conversion processes at the smallest time and length scales. Liao lab develops theoretical and experimental tools to understand, measure, and control nanoscale energy transport and conversion processes for more efficient energy, electronic, and quantum systems.
Uc Santa Barbara Researchers Are Advancing Cold Atom Quantum At the thermofluid energy research lab, we combine fundamental understandings of heat and fluid transport with advanced materials characterization capabilities for more efficient thermal management and sustainable energy solutions. Our goal is to engage and educate students from all disciplines on how we can create a clean energy future together. through collaboration, we aim to serve as a central hub for all student led energy innovation at ucsb. He joined the tealab upon enrollment at the university of california, santa barbara for his m.s. in mechanical engineering. his research interests include non destructive battery characterization methods and thermal energy transport and its application to clean energy technologies and spaceflight. Current projects include first principles and multiscale simulation of energy carrier transport, visualization of photophysics in space and time with scanning ultrafast electron microscopy, ultrafast optical techniques for thermal and thermoelectric characterization, and applied clean energy devices and systems.
