Research Tracks Reformers Energy Valleys By promoting energy efficiency and technologies for renewable energy consumption into daily operations, revt3 contributes to the economic, societal, and environmental objectives of reformers and the broader eu energy and climate goals. The developments within the flagship valley will be meticulously followed by six satellite valleys spread around europe. these valleys will use the lessons learned from the flagship and replicate its successful strategies to create their own renewable energy valley.

Together with green hydrogen, wind, solar and bio waste energy production, the project will help hit alkmaar’s 100% renewable energy target by 2050. the developments within the dutch flagship valley will be meticulously followed by six satellite valleys spread around europe. Thanks to the joint effort of 28 partners from 10 european countries, a large test facility in the boekelermeer industrial park in the dutch city of alkmaar will demonstrate how “renewable energy valleys” can become the optimal energy system for small to medium sized industrial sites close to residential areas. The project focuses on the development, realization and roll out of the “renewable energy valleys” (revs) – resilient regional multi energy systems that aim to increase energy security while accelerating the green transition in europe. This report presents the revt5 implementation and operation plan for the flagship valley (fv), the main living lab of the reformers project.
