After more than six successful years of growing and catalyzing the urban resilience movement, the 100 resilient cities organization within the foundation concluded on july 31, 2019.
Resilient Cities Catalyst Cities are navigating overlapping climate, social and economic pressures. through r cities, they understand risk better, collaborate across departments and partners, and turn learning from other cities into decisions that strengthen and scale resilience. Through these actions, 100rc aims not only to help individual cities become more resilient, but will facilitate the building of a global practice of resilience among governments, ngos, the private sector, and individual citizens. This transformative program will help latin america and the caribbean (lac) cities create sustainable and resilient futures with knowledge sharing with u.s. cities. It believes that resilience thinking combined with courageous leadership and radical collaboration will make cities stronger, more equitable and ultimately more resilient for current and future generations.
