Redfall lets me down regardless of the genre expectations i bring. there aren't enough enemies in any location to play it like a left 4 dead style game. guns feel weightless and their damage.

Redfall may not be as bold as “dishonored meet castlevania,” but arkane studios puts some nifty vampiric twists on well worn co op shooting action. vampires may live forever, but we’ll see how. Redfall is still getting updates, but its tiny playerbase isn't happy about the ongoing lack of promised new content. it's nice to see some bug fixes and combat improvements, at least. xbox.

I was turned off at release, but when i revisited redfall later in 2023, i was pleased to find a pretty good game waiting for me that i thoroughly enjoyed. ultimately, the game died a death, support ceased, and the studio that developed the game, arkane austin, was shut down. Redfall is perhaps one of bethesda and arkane austin's most ordinary titles. a perfectly competent first person shooter that does little to raise itself above the competition. the perfect game pass game that's not worth the money, but is worth a casual weekend of play. Redfall is a serviceable first person open world shooter with perhaps the most needless "rpg layer" in the history of always online games. tools that might make the sandbox more fun are. For fps fans, redfall provides some great gameplay elements to sink your teeth and time into, but it also lacks direction and its vision is muddied with formulaic systems and some glaring issues. let’s take a deeper look at redfall in our review of the pc version for steam.
