Reception Maths Workshop Monday 17th November 2025 Bells Farm In reception we start with our number bonds to 5 and move on to number bonds to 10. children need to know these to achieve the expected outcome in maths at the end of the year. How is mathematical learning achieved in reception? child initiated activities allow the children to follow their own interests and encourages children to find and solve mathematical problems that grab their attention.
Reception Maths Workshop Monday 17th November 2025 Bells Farm Find free reception mathematics activities for ages 4 5, aligned with the eyfs framework and early learning goals. hands on education supports playful learning in number recognition, counting, shapes, patterns, measures, and early problem solving through practical resources and games. The aim over time is that children will leave ks1 with fluency in calculation and a confidence and flexibility with number. attention has been given to key knowledge and understanding needed in reception classes, and progression through ks1 to support success in the future.
