Classics Reading List Pdf For reasons of space and maybe changing taste, i got rid of some of my lps in the dim and distant past. (yes, that’s right, lps…. although two or three cds have followed.) nowadays i wish i still had them. many of them are still available on cd, streaming, or in some cases vinyl reissues. Reading The Classics Select from a list of 441 works of classical literature by 59 different authors, including user driven commentary and "reader's choice" web sites. mainly greco roman works (some chinese and persian), all in english translation. The large tapestries are very loosely based about ‘the rake’s progress’ and some themes of classical painting, but firmly set in this century. they are very well crafted, according to my resident expert, with careful composition and loads of detail. Finally, despite my reservations about books in translation, i find it hard to imagine life without having read the wonderful, magical stories of jean luis borges. There’s so much stuff to read before i die! i do recommend john banville and tim binding. ‘classic’ novels (i hate that term, but it suffices as a description.) again, they have had an impact but i am not going to re read them. with the wonder of the kindle, i already have vanity fair electronically anyway, should i choose to go back to it.
