Rcpa Structured Pathology Reporting
Rcpa Structured Pathology Reporting The goal of the national structured pathology reporting of cancer (sprc) project is to develop a suite of standardised cancer protocols that will, when implemented, provide more consistent and comprehensive pathology reporting of cancer. This implementation guide describes how to implement the rcpa cap structured cancer reporting protocols for data exchange.
Rcpa Structured Pathology Reporting Protocols, guides, forms, request information sheets and templates are provided for educational purposes and to support the implementation of structured pathology reporting of cancer (sprc). The royal college of pathologists of australasia (rcpa) continues to advance the quality and consistency of cancer reporting through its structured pathology reporting of cancer (sprc) project. A second round of funding from the department of health & ageing’s quality use of pathology program has been awarded to promote and expand the use of structured reporting of cancer. Structured pathology reporting is an evidence based method of reporting cancer pathology that contains standardised critical reporting details, displayed in a structured list format.

Structured pathology reporting is an evidence based method of reporting cancer pathology that contains standardised critical reporting details, displayed in a structured list format. The use of a structured reporting format also facilitates easy extraction of the necessary information by secondary users of the information i.e. cancer registries. The rcpa software trial invites pathologists to evaluate and provide feedback to the rcpa on digital technologies which may support more efficient electronic implementation of rcpa protocol templates. This approach has been further developed for the australasian context by the sprc project and is described in the rcpa position statement on implementation of structured pathology reporting of cancer11 and in the levels of structured pathology reporting of cancer infographic. We are excited to announce that celerato has been chosen as a pilot partner for the structured pathology reporting of cancer (sprc) software trial by the royal college of pathologists of australasia (rcpa).
