Queen’s is one of canada’s leading research intensive universities a place many of canada’s most outstanding researchers call home. the faculty of engineering and applied science currently has more than 400 highly motivated graduate students of exceptional ability from around the world. The first three years of our plan provide broad based training in: mathematics; science (physics, chemistry & geology); fluid, structural and soil mechanics; materials (water, concrete, steel, soil & plastics); and engineering problem solving & design. With 3,600 members currently staying on campus, 15,000 active alumni living throughout the world, and an annual budget of $2.4 million, the engineering society oversees some fifty eight.
