Protected Intersections For Bicyclists Nick Falbo Urban Design Using animation to describe and diagram dutch inspired intersection design, nick was the first to name protected intersections and to articulate design elements and functionality of the dutch inspired facility design treatment in a way palatable to north american engineers. While the protected intersection design has promise, implementation is fraught with serious challenges. this site will identify and explore these issues with the goal of understand how and if these tools can be use on us streets.
