Project Unnati Ammucare Charitable Trust S Initiative Project unnati aims to enable women to obtain formal employment with regular monthly salaries and less than a 30 minute commute. it addresses the barriers that keep women from working, such as household responsibilities, transportation, child care, safety, and lack of supportive services and policies. Project unnati is a government initiative to train one adult member of each nrega household in various livelihood skills and pay a stipend for 100 days. the project aims to reduce dependence on nrega and improve the quality of life of rural people.

Project unnati, launched by the ministry of rural development, government of india, represents a strategic shift from the conventional welfare oriented approach of mgnrega towards an integrated livelihood generation model through targeted skill development. Project unnati was initiated to bolster the lgbtq community’s access to socio economic mobility. the project focused upon creating opportunities in education and entrepreneurship for lgbtq individuals, while simultaneously creating social environments conducive to growth. The five year project was initiated in october 2020 and this is the report of the fourth year. the project targets 2000 remote and socially marginalized dalit households (approximately 10,000 people) in 50 villages of patodi and sindhri blocks of balotra (earlier barmer) district. Through this project, maximum profits benefits would be passed on to the disabled workers in various ways. in other words, success of the project would mean more benefits to the workers, who are also “owners” in the venture.
