Probe Basic Configuration Linuxcnc Probebasic is a qtpyvcp based user interface for the linuxcnc machine control. I've installed and run linuxcnc with gmoccapy, axis and qtdragon so i'm not stupid, but this is nuts. i know it can work, i can see that all 5 axis displays are available in the qtdesigner.

I've set up a development virtual machine for probe basic (i'm a software architect by trade), and i'm trying to understand what requires gui changes vs. what i can do via configuration. Below is a guide to help create a working machine configuration for probe basic. this guide assumes a basic installation with manual tool changes. a future document will be available for more complex configurations with atc and coolant cannon functionality. Question; we currently have two cnc routers running probe basic on debian 10 and mesa cards. we're trying to build a new probe basic controller using a raspberry pi 4 and the btt skr v1.4 turbo board. Step 2: create a configuration for your machine using pncconf from the linuxcnc menu in the applications drop down in the upper menu bar. it is recommended to use the axis gui display for this initial build.
