Probe Basic Atc Setup Problems Linuxcnc
Carousel Atc Setup Probebasic Documentation I have been using an old version of probe basic for a while but with a custom m6 tool change macro and fixed pockets for each tool in the tool table. that worked but wasn't very convenient so i updated to the current version of probe basic and tried to get it working. Probebasic is a qtpyvcp based user interface for the linuxcnc machine control.
Probe Basic Atc Setup Problems Linuxcnc Probe basic is developed and tested using the linuxcnc debian 12 x64 (bookworm) install iso. it should run on any system that can have pyqt5 installed, but debian 12 x64 is the only os that is officially supported. The system is designed to run on debian linux systems with linuxcnc installed, providing a modern alternative to traditional linuxcnc interfaces with enhanced probing capabilities. Hi guys, i'm trying to setup a carousel atc but even updating to the latest development release, the atc tab screen look empty like this. It might be helpful to turn on debugging in terminal to see exactly what point in the sequence its getting stuck. and then start lcnc from the terminal. attempt your tool change (m6 t1 or t1 m6) and when it gets hung up, use alt tab to switch to the terminal window.

Replied by lcvette on topic carousel atc setup on probe basic the standard qtpyvcp is not pi5 compatible, it requires a special build, this is likely why you're having issues. I freshly installed linuxcnc 2.9.3 debian 12 bookworm preempt rt and followed the steps for the probe basic apt stable install. i made a new machine config using pncconf and the axis gui and only modified what i needed to get my machine running. When it's here i can get started on designing and printing a simple atc mechanism which has all the features of the real atc. in this topic i will document my progress.
