Port Moody Public Library Cornerstone Planning Group At the september 2, 2025, closed council meeting, council invited the library board to present the library facility master plan (attachment 1) and functional space program reports (attachments 2 and 3) at an upcoming regular council meeting and approved the following resolution for public release:. On oct. 28, city council unanimously endorsed the port moody public library’s facility master plan and functional program reports; documents that lay out a detailed 25 year blueprint for expanding the city’s library system to match its growing population and evolving community needs. Cornerstone held extensive consultation sessions with both library staff and leadership to garner internal perceptions of strategic direction for the library. as well, cornerstone assisted the library in developing a public survey, achieving over 1,800 community responses. Port moody’s council members expressed overwhelming support for the library’s long awaited expansion. mayor meghan lahti described the decision as a pivotal moment for the city, urging focus on how to make the project a reality.
