Patchwork Challenge June 2016 Birdguides This has been perhaps the most successful june ever in pwc terms, as a host of good birds graced patches the length and breadth of britain and ireland. the headline find this month was alex jones' broad billed sandpiper at rhyl. We would also like to mention two great supporters and stalwarts of patchwork challenge who sadly left us this year: martin garner and pete antrobus. both were very well known and popular in birding circles and contributed a great deal to the challenge.

Anyone doing this? i've been inspired by a fellow blogger and it sounds quite fun. i'm trying to decide on my patch. i like the idea of long ham lakes and parts of hengistbury head, but am u sure if you can have two separate patches. also, i'm unsure how to plan out my patch in terms of kilometers. We then process it and scores start coming out a few days later as we write articles.we normally have a monthly best find round up on the blog and a magazine article on birdguides which both come out in the third week of the month. This meant there were more eurasian white fronted geese arriving off the continent, and gracing patches up and down england and some on the island mini leagues too. amongst the white fronted geese were smaller numbers of tundra bean and barnacle geese recorded. With a title like that i should get lots of hits from people looking for a cartoon character, but no, this is wow frozen for the first time since i started volunteering there in june 2015.
