Oure Experiential Learning Missouri S T The purpose of the oure fellows program is to increase the quality of experiential learning for missouri s&t students, funding has been made available to support interdisciplinary research projects for undergraduates. Learning is stimulated through a variety of structured activities that differ significantly from the traditional lecture format. s&t encourages students to move beyond mastering basic skills and knowledge by applying what they've learned to real world problem solving challenges. Every undergraduate in computer science must complete the experiential learning graduation requirement. the intent of this requirement is to encourage our students to pursue computer science opportunities outside of the classroom. Explore hands on research projects that let you work alongside faculty, gain valuable experience, and contribute to real world discoveries. this program promotes active learning through student–faculty collaboration, increases campus research activity, and supports graduate program recruitment. In every case, the supervisor (s) of the activity must assess the student’s performance in the activity as satisfactory. in addition, the student must provide a reflection on the learning experience which must be deemed acceptable by the department’s undergraduate curriculum committee. Opportunities for undergraduate research experience program (oure) the opportunities for undergraduate research experience program began in 1990. Proposals that are not awarded for the oure fellows program will automatically qualify for consideration of the traditional oure program; an additional application is not required.
