Our Structure Rotary International Rotary is made up of three parts: our clubs, rotary international, and the rotary foundation. together, we work to make lasting change in our communities and around the world. There are roughly 535 districts in the rotary world, which are then organized into zones. the zones usually have around 18 districts and there are 34 zones. we are in zone 26 & 27 with districts in canada, along the west coast to texas, colorado, wyoming and montana.
Our Structure Rotary International Rotary international is governed by a board of directors composed of the international president, the president elect, 17 directors and (without voting rights) the general secretary. The rotary clubs are the basis of the organization. each club is an independent public organization, according to the current legislation of the country of location that operates in accordance with the statute and bylaws of the club. The rotary club is the basic building block of rotary international where the real work is accomplished. rotary clubs address critical issues by providing health care and medical supplies, clean water, food, job training, youth development, and education to millions of people. Rotary develops service projects in seven broad areas: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children through accessible health care and other services, supporting basic education and literacy, growing local economies, and protecting the environment.

President rotary’s president presides over the board of directors and is elected to a one year term.
