Honoring Our Elders Heritage University We’re capturing special moments. through eye watering photographs and video clips that will tug at your heartstrings, we've done our very best to document and highlight all of the ways we're making a mark on the lives of our elders. Welcome to my personal site for the missionaries who have served (or currently serving) in my area. i have tried to 'capture' them in natural moments throughout their service here. as can be seen by the number of pictures for each missionary, i try to capture them when i can.

Honoring Our Elders Heritage University Love for our elders (formerly love for the elderly) is a united states–based nonprofit organization that works to alleviate social isolation among older adults through volunteer‑driven letter writing and community engagement. After the loss of his beloved grandfather, young jacob cramer began volunteering in a local senior living center. in 2013, at age 13, he founded love for our elders and began gathering and distributing letters to seniors in care facilities to help alleviate the loneliness experienced by so many. During covid she moved to an assisted living facility in new jersey to be closer to our family. the combination of the move and her friend passing away shortly after has left her lonely and bored. Our story we started because of a loving grandpa. “after my grandpa died, i started volunteering with older adults to find a special connection like the one we shared, but i was upset by the chronic loneliness i saw. some residents would tell me they hadn’t heard from family or friends in months.

After the holidays, many older adults face heightened isolation, especially in the cold winter months. jacob cramer, founder of love for our elders, saw this need firsthand as volunteer activity slowed. Our chapter toolkit walks you through everything you need to start and run your chapter—from setup and registration to meetings, leadership, and more. it’s your go to guide for leading a campus chapter. Explore our map to find a dear elder mailbox in your area! visit any public mailbox nearby to drop off a letter and spread some love to local seniors. While we loved getting your mail for eight years and delivering it to the seniors we serve, since july 2021, we’ve asked volunteers to send directly to bundle facilitators so that we can target the elders who need it the most and so volunteers can know who they’re writing to!.
