In 2017, 28 years after the ban on skateboarding in norway was lifted, dark arkitekter has inaugurated one of the biggest skate halls in northern europe in oslo. The all new oslo skatehall makes up for this long break: it caters to all sub types of the sport — street, bowl and vert all under one roof. while it is a meeting place for all skaters, it also meets the demands for competitions, fulfilling all international standards. The intricate and exposed lattice of the 7 foot deep skate obstacle, designed by dark arkitekter and glifberg lykke, is the product of cnc milling and meticulous handcraft.
