The book investigates ways in which learners successfully develop their language skills through extramural english and provides tools for teachers to make use of free time activities in primary and secondary education. These activities, known as extramural english (ee) learning, can provide additional opportunities for language practice and exposure. this study used systematic literature review (slr) in order to examine the influence of ee towards efl secondary school students. The results showed that extramural english activities that were often carried out by students were listening to english songs with and without lyrics, reading english content on social media, and ‘sometimes’ watching english tv series or movies with subtitles. It was found that learners engage in a variety of ee activities, with playing online games and watching movies being the activities with the most english exposure. learners engage in these activities mostly out of their own interests or because of other socially driven motives.
