Publications Amos Ntnu The short term research outcomes will be robust gnc algorithms for use in uav systems and demonstrations, while the long term objective is operation of fully autonomous uav systems in restricted airspace. The unmanned aerial vehicles laboratory is a test facility for ntnu's research on unmanned aerial systems (uas). we are using agdenes airfield as primary test field located about 90 km southwest of trondheim (google maps).

Laboratories Amos Ntnu Uav research and development at ntnu amos. This paper gave an overview of the research at ntnu amos related to underwater operations. different technology platforms subject to spatial and temporal coverage and resolutions and presentation of a control architecture considering a bottom up approach towards autonomy were discussed. We will use the term unmanned aerial vehicle (uav). it is closely related to un manned aerial systems (uas), which emphasize that the vehicle needs to be oper ated as part of a larger system that includes ground control, handling systems, and systems for communication and navigation. The observational pyramid with all the different autonomous data collecting robotic agents developed at ntnu amos together with third party satellite infrastructure.

Ntnu amos ended its adventure end of june 2023 fulfilling the standard 10 years of centre of excellence scheme. here you can find the final and annual reports. researchers at ntnu amos worked between the disciplines to create a world leading centre for autonomous marine operations and control systems. One out of the 9 projects in amos researches how basic unmanned aerial vehicle (uav) operations can be performed, and one of these operations is high precision deployment of a payload from a uav. The solution is fully implemented to be embedded in the uav on board computer with dune, an on board navigation software. the performance is evaluated using ardupilot’s software in the loop with jsbsim flight dynamics model simulations. The uav lab is an ntnu facility with unmanned aerial vehicles and open source guidance, navigation, control, and communication systems, payload sensors, simulators, test fields, crew, and support systems.
