These live, unrecorded discussions are a space for collegiate recreation professionals to connect, share ideas, and tackle challenges together. held on the 1st and 3rd wednesday of each month, topics rotate to keep conversations timely and relevant. join live—engage, share, and grow. The initiative will leverage nirsa’s recreation for wellbeing online course as the foundation for learning, provide guided coaching from members of nirsa’s health & well being advisory group, and disseminate key insights through the nirsa promising practices model. Presented by gregory reinhardt, university of washington, marti tomlin, university of richmond, and kevin george, rowan university, this session will discuss and define terminology and concepts used in wellbeing conversations within and beyond the recreation circles across campus. As a result of participating in the recreation for wellbeing course, participants will raise their own literacy around essential, foundational concepts thereby being better prepared to engage meaningfully in the work of wellbeing.
