Home Eosc Life Here, we present key findings, procedures, effective measures and recommendations for generating and establishing sustainable life science resources based on the collaborative, cross disciplinary work done within the eosc life (european open science cloud for life sciences) consortium. Using lessons learned from 27 selected projects, we describe the organisational, technical, financial and legal ethical challenges that represent the main barriers to sustainability in the life sciences. Eosc life establishes a novel access model for the bms ri: through eosc scientists would gain direct access to fair data and tools in a cloud environment available throughout the european research area. The fairplus project ran from january 2019 to december 2022 and produced a reusable fairification framework for life science data. the framework includes tools and guidelines for making life science data fair (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable).

The eu and industry funded fairplus project has generated a scalable framework for data ‘fairification’ with guidance, tools and recipes to facilitate the process. Here, we present key findings, procedures, effective measures and recommendations for generating and establishing sustainable life science resources based on the collaborative, cross‐disciplinary work done within the eosc‐life (european open science cloud for life sciences) consortium. Eosc life provides a framework for 13 ls ris at different stages of organisational development to establish partnerships and ensure service interoperability. these ris represent research communities with differ ent levels of adoption of open science and fair practices. In this paper, we present the fair cookbook, focussing on its creation and content, its value, use and adoptions, as well as the participatory process, and collaborative plans for sustainability,.
