Since 1975, the natural hazards center has hosted the annual natural hazards research and applications workshop in colorado. Doctoral candidate ashely bosa, also advised by director brand, submitted an abstract to the workshop titled: integrating behavioral science and evacuation modeling to improve community wildfire resilience. The interactive workshops were led by the simcenter developer team and included hands on examples of simcenter software applications that accelerate natural hazards research. The three day program included discussion, engagement, knowledge sharing and road mapping of natural hazards research through the centre and from other organisations around the country.
