Natural Hazards Center Workshop 2023 Home About the workshop: since 1975, the natural hazards center has hosted the annual natural hazards research and applications workshop in colorado. Are you new to the workshop this year? if so, please attend this orientation to learn how the event is organized and to receive suggestions for getting the most out of your time here. this is also a great opportunity to network with fellow first timers and ask any questions you may have. The workshops provide practical and straightforward information on issues that affect anyone who owns or operates a dam including: state dam safety laws and regulations and enforcement, emergency action plans and maintenance issues for all areas on a dam, and recommendations for correction.
