This year’s program is all about the story of the chemistry of rocks. this might not seem very exciting until we realize that rocks and minerals come from deep under the earth in the magma that forms the center of the planet. This year, national chemistry week is being celebrated october 22–28, 2017, and the theme, chemistry rocks!, explores geochemistry. make the most of this annual celebration by connecting the classroom experience to the greater world through geochemistry resources from the journal of chemical education.
