Mission System Bug R Eu4 Issue is with steam where old missions has not been removed correctly when you updated to 1.25, so the game tries to load the old ones in the new mission interface. reinstalling the game should fix it. Last time i played eu4, you could annex oversea provinces. when they changed the india and spice islands missions to target specific provinces i think they left out the range triggers as i've seen the same happen.
Mission Bug R Eu4 So i started playing as shimazu, conquered and formed japan, then through the mission tree i became the empire of japan. i finished the requirements for 2 missions but no matter how many times i select them to complete them, the only thing that happens is the mission completion alert appears. Mission trees are standalone, both in terms of their place in the code (it's not like you can accidentaly break some different in game system by making a bugged mission tree), and just in game, you can make one fucked up mission tree but it'll affect just one country, and not everything. Typically you can easily isolate the events, decisions, missions and interface folders without too much worry. then in the common folder, remove files or folders one by one, re launching the game each time to determine which is causing the issue. I thought i'd share my solution to the bugged broken missions problem i had. my google fu could've been busted too, since i couldn't find a solution to this issue when i queried "bugged missions eu4" or "broken missions eu4.".
