Missing View Design In Visual C Visual Studio 2017 Stack Overflow I can't open view design in vs 2017, it's just missing. it doesn't show any desinger in the open methods. neither in the other pop up window pieces keep falling off, starting 7 years ago with the removal of the winforms project templates. the only remaining way to open the designer is to double click the file. The design view is frequently a problem when switching between the code and the design view. it just won't display the design window contents. to resolve that i close the empty design window and reopen it. if that does work, a restart of vs usually works. this is becoming a frequent problem, any help trying to figure this out will be appreciated.

Error While Installing Visual Studio 2017 Ms C 2017 X86 Minimum I am working on a visual c# project with visual studio 2017. i added in controls to a custom user control in the designer perspective, and after successfully building, this is how it looks. Design view (the form) was available to me, but suddenly, i don't have it anymore. the .cs file is there with all the controls, but i have no idea how to regenerate the form view. Since updating, i have been unable to use the standard string view. there’s no boiler plate code or prerequisites to reproduce, any project with string view will not compile. they all give the error “string view is only available with c 17 or later”. the project is definitely set to “ std:c 17” in language standard. The 'view designer' menu is not available and several forms (but not all) are not recognise as being forms in the vs solution explorer. it is a winforms project. they used to be recognised as forms up until some recent updates to the vs. how can i edit them visually?.
