Mind Garden Arts Catalyst Mind garden is a commission by artist harun morrison and an ongoing project at sheffield mind. in 2021 22, harun worked with local people to repair, re design and replant the garden at sheffield mind with combinations of herbs and flowers that function as natural medicine and notes in perfumes. Mind Garden Arts Catalyst The event celebrated the work we have been doing with harun morrison (@harunishere) and sheffield mind’s hoarding support service; the magpies. it was the first public showcase of wind chimes they have been carefully constructing over 8 weeks through a range of sound, writing, and making workshops. The arts catalyst team invited me to their new garden at sheffield mind, created with artist harun morrison and horticulturalist fran halsall, on a hot day in august 2022. We have been getting ready for the mind garden spring fete with sheffield mind’s magpies (@sheffield mind) and harun morrison (@harunishere). we have spent some sunny afternoons working on windchimes, origami decorations, and tending to the mind garden. we have been weeding and unearthing treasures that have found their way into the soil. Mind garden is a project commissioned by arts catalyst with the artist harun morrison, which aims to transform sheffield mind’s garden space. kitchen club is a series of workshops and events connected to this project.
