Gene Kogan Machine Learning In The Composer S Future Toolkit I give workshops and masterclasses on machine learning, computer vision, creative coding, and generative art. they focus on theory, applications, critical issues, or some combination of those, and can vary between technical application driven and discussion oriented. Gene kogan is an artist and a programmer who is interested in generative systems, computer science, and software for creativity and self expression. he is a collaborator within numerous open source software projects, and gives workshops and lectures on topics at the intersection of code and art.

Gene Kogan Fitc This workshop was a hands on introduction to machine learning with a focus on creating artistic and interactive applications. the 3rd year bachelor media & interaction design students learnt how to use neural networks to create real time, cross modal interactions for use in video, installation, live music performance and interaction design. His work is all free & open source, and he records many of lectures and tutorials for free distribution. currently, he is leading an open project to create an autonomous artificial artist as well as compiling a free educational toolkit on machine learning for art. This full day workshop will survey the application of machine learning to new media art, with a special focus on very recent breakthroughs for techniques that generate images from text. It will consist of a step by step introduction to machine learning and its futures for creative media practitioners. the workshop will also appeal to members of the public who are not designers or artists but who would like to learn about these important technologies.

Autonomous generative spirit is an intensive four week program led by artists gene kogan and andreas refsgaard. machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence concerned with the design of data driven programs which autonomously demonstrate intelligent behavior in a variety of domains. Over the past 14 months, 29 workshops have been organized, taking place collectively over 76 days and roughly 500 hours in session, not counting the hours of spontaneous hacking which would. Renowned expert gene kogan holds a lecture and a workshop on creative applications for machine learning algorithms: from music to maps passing through art and performance. He is a collaborator within numerous open source software projects, and leads workshops and demonstrations on topics at the intersection of code, art, and technology activism.
