Locked 2025 Movie Review Deep Focus Review These details signal that no matter how ill behaved eddie may be, he’s our hero deep down. after eddie spots a slick looking, million dollar dolus suv in a parking lot, just waiting to be taken, he enters and quickly discovers the doors are—you guessed it—locked. David yarokvesky’s “locked” is a solid showcase for the underrated range of bill skarsgård, who can slide from a moody creature like his character in “nosferatu” to a panicked, one man show like this one with ease.

Locked 2025 Movie Review Deep Focus Review Locked is a surprisingly effective, fast paced thriller that could've easily gone off the rails at any point during its attempt to keep its audience engaged for its brief 90 minutes. David yarovesky's locked is a remake of the 2019 argentinian film 4x4, and while the original was a claustrophobic and tense thriller with a pointed social commentary, this american version feels like a watered down, hollywoodized copy. Eddie barrish, the financially desperate, hapless criminal in this high concept thriller, is played by bill skarsgard, who for once is on the receiving end of evil. serves him right for everything. In director david yarovesky’s locked, this vindictive daydream becomes a nightmare reality when eddie barrish (bill skarsgård, nosferatu) breaks into a luxury suv that transforms into his high tech, leather lined prison.

In director david yarovesky’s locked, this vindictive daydream becomes a nightmare reality when eddie barrish (bill skarsgård, nosferatu) breaks into a luxury suv that transforms into his high tech, leather lined prison. “locked” is not without limited charms, but it ultimately fails to bridge the gap between putting audiences in the car with eddie, and actually wanting to make them go for the ride. Locked (2025) won’t convert thriller skeptics, but skarsgård’s committed, bodily performance and hopkins’s purring menace make this chamber piece an effective, nasty time killer, especially at home. Though locked doesn’t break new ground within the thriller genre, it remains a solid and engaging film, propelled by excellent performances, a gripping narrative, and tight direction. Locked is a new horror thriller with a claustrophobic premise and starring bill skarsgård and anthony hopkins. somewhat familiar psychological thriller but with a few new twists.
