Local Vets Honored In Quilt Of Valor Ceremony Double Mountain Chronicle Two members of the fisher county law enforcement community and veterans of wartime service were honored this week, each receiving a quilt of valor at a ceremony on wednesday. Last weekend, the quilts of valor® foundation awarded 16 quilts to veterans in two ceremonies. a private ceremony friday morning kicked off the weekend, where volunteers wrapped five veterans in their quilts.

Double Mountain Chronicle Fisher called his military service, “the greatest honor of my life,” and called taking part in veterans activities was a way for him to give back to the country that had given him so much. presentations also were made to tom marshall and dale bubak.
