Lizzy Lizard Backyard Solutions The seaside town of porthcawl, wales, is mourning the loss of its iconic mascot, lizzy. this 30 foot long driftwood, shaped like a lizard, captured the hearts of locals and tourists alike. I live on a patio with a lot of other south louisiana lizards. we make a good living on mosquitoes, flies…you know, all the good stuff…louisiana food can't be beat…you just ask anyone!. The enormous piece of driftwood resembling a lizard crawling along the beach quickly took on a life of its own as it was soon adorned with eyes, a long tongue, and a set of humps to complete the monstrous look (seen below). Porthcawl’s famous lizzy the logness monster can now be found broken up with limbs missing, in front of the seabank hotel, porthcawl. Her mother mourned the loss of her kin and moved on assuming lizzy had been lost as well. when she finally found the strength to reach out and crack her birthing cocoon, the sun blasted her in the eyes and she coward back inside.
