Local Groups Living Streets Living streets association started its pilot study in 2011. through ongoing modification on the approaches of engaging with residents and local groups in diverse urban communities, we believe a friendly street is the foundation for a friendly community. Living streets looks at world car free day and how cities and local groups across the world and the uk are using car free events to make travel more accessible, inclusive and fun. the importance of making the history of marginalised groups more visible and how we’re doing that through our work. Hackney living streets submitted its walking manifesto to hackney candidates in the 2018 local election campaign. the manifesto sets out its demand and vision for a cleaner, greener, happier, healthier hackney. We have partnered with different local groups for causes that benefit everyone and the young people also get the opportunity to volunteer for the greater community. our program is full of a variety of activities and events, but all of them revolve around our focus of community building.
