Resources Living Streets Canberraliving Streets Canberra Living streets is a real life experiment whereby each year, for two months, residents can temporarily transform their street into the sustainable place they have always dreamed of. each of these living labs explores a new urbanism with fewer cars and more social interaction. Using a theoretical framework combining three ideal typical roles (promoter, enabler and partner) and transitional capacity, we analyze the relationship between the municipality and the living streets program in ghent, belgium.

The living street reimagines the role of the street by reconsidering its purpose and who it is intended to serve. the street may be cooler, safer, and more walkable when implemented.
