Line Art Adobe Illustrator Pattern Brush Issue Graphic Design Stack I’m working on creating a retro style line art effect in adobe illustrator and encountered some issues. here’s the process i followed: i drew several paths, set their stroke to 14pt, and applied different colours (on the right side). applied this brush to a simple shape. Problem is (see image) that it does not maintain the pattern's aspect ratio when used on the simple test path, which is just a basic path. the brush squashes the pattern to fit and changing the brush settings seems not to help.
