Creatively Connected Community I was invited by the let’s be creatively connected initiative to host and facilitate their 2022 2023 round of workshops. these workshops brought together students from the hollins high school and residents of the woodlands care home and friargate care home in burnley. The hollins created ‘let’s be creatively connected’, a project which uses creativity as a vehicle for connecting the generations, developing greater understanding and fostering a positive relationship between the two. Ten residents aged 75 to 90 years and 17 local young people (11 girls and five boys) aged 12 – 14 years came together every wednesday evenings to take part in an art project called the jigsaw project as part of the school’s ‘let’s be creatively connected’ initiative.
