Learning Space Foundation Learning Space Foundation Learning spaces are highly diverse in use, configuration, location, and educational institution. they support a variety of pedagogies, including quiet study, passive or active learning, kinesthetic or physical learning, vocational learning, experiential learning, and others. The goal of a learning space is to promote independent, flexible, and engaged learning by providing learners with appropriate technologies and pedagogies. how to design and develop an effective learning space has thus become increasingly critical (ellis & goodyear, 2016). Learning centers, as defined in this study, are centralized, physical places where all types of just in time academic support services are provided in different modalities and at times convenient to the learner. learning centers may differ based on services, staffing, or location. Designing an inspiring learning environment today is a complex, rewarding process that requires careful thought and collaboration. at natural pod, we approach each project with a focus on creating spaces that are functional, cohesive, and promote wellbeing for learners and educators alike.

It looks at the role of these different kinds of spaces for learning, attainment, interpersonal relationships, skills development, wellbeing and behaviours ‒ across four pillars of learning. Drawing on the wisdom of experienced architects, innovative designers, and learning researchers from around the globe, this document shares five key practices that underly the creation of powerful learning environments.
