Congregation beth torah was founded in 1974 as an egalitarian, participatory, inclusive conservative synagogue. over the last five decades, we have embraced and enhanced those values, welcoming everyone into the beth torah family regardless of age, ethnicity, experience, sexual orientation or gender identification. Learning about the past helps us prevent future potential horrors. edith jucker’s survival is a marvelous example of perseverance. in her own words: “only love can survive hate.” the evening’s service is sponsored by hy penn and lynn gordon, dedicated to the memory of holocaust survivors linda penn, morris i. penn and riva kremer.
