Code Bionic Vision Lab Our work spans the full spectrum from behavior to computation. we study how people with visual impairment perceive and navigate the world, using psychophysics, vr ar, and ambulatory head eye body tracking. we probe visual system function with eeg, tms, and physiological sensing. Join us as we explore the academic and scientific aspects of this captivating domain, uncovering the minds and ideas driving the progress of vision restoration. This research explores the integration of computer vision into various assistive devices, aiming to enhance urban navigation and environmental interaction for individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Based on this understanding, they create and optimize medical devices designed to improve the quality of life for the visually impaired. the main projects in the lab include the bioelectronic retinal prosthesis and wearable smart camera.

Collaborators bionic vision lab collaborators ». Discover cutting edge research, events, and insights in bionic vision and sight restoration. Our latest work yields state of the art predictions of primary visual cortex (v1) activity in mouse and monkey, plus a new way to optimize stimulation protocols for visual prostheses. Combining research from the soft math lab and the bionics lab at harvard seas, andrea hopes to bring an interdisciplinary approach to drive innovation in the theory of biomechanics and neural control.
