Carb Help R Ltz400 Carbureted lsx forum l76 to carb questions i picked up a l76 the other day with a little cylinder damage but nothing bad at all. i have a few questions about this engine. My engine is a stroked l92 416 ci, stock gm l92 heads, l76 intake, 40 lb injectors and 236 248 duration, .601 .615 lift, 112 lsa custom cam. could you help me understand a few basics?. We put this kit together at sk speed to simply the install of a carburetor on a rectangle port ls engine. with an edelbrockvictor jr intake, you get a standard 4150 flange which accepts most aftermarket carburetors. For high rpm engines (7,000 ), ls3 intake valves are lighter and can be cut to fit. the l76 heads have rectangle intake ports, like the ls3 l92 heads. light weight, hollow stem intake valves from the ls3 drop right in for high rpm use. they can be cnc ported for better air flow.
More Carb Help Needed Can Anyone Tell Where This Goes Het Club Hi all, hoping you can help me out with my tuner. i have a l76 in a ac cobra, was running a stock tune in a stock engine up until late last year. put in a small cam (see attached) and contacted my tuner for an updated tune. Can you run an l76 with vvt without a computer? i don't want to do a cam swap and delete everything yet, so i'm wondering if the default for the engine if the electronics portion isn't hooked up will allow the engine to run like normal. Problem solved guys. i had apparently completely overlooked making adjustments to my idle throttle follower coefficients when adjusting my idle airflow last month. throttle response in crisp and sharper than ever. thanks for the help guys.
